The School of Accountancy (SOA) is seeking a tenure-track experienced assistant or associate professor, effective fall semester 2013. The School's faculty includes 17 full-time faculty members and offers the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in accounting. The SOA also supports the BBA and MBA programs of the Fogelman College of Business and Economics.
Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting
JOB DESCRIPTION: Applicants for an associate position should have a strong research record and the ability to participate in doctoral education and curriculum matters at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Applicants for the assistant professor position should have evidence of empirical archival research potential and effective teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates for both ranks must possess a doctoral degree in accounting. All areas of specialization will be considered. While not critical, certification as a public accountant or financial analyst is a plus. A record of effective graduate level teaching and scholarly publications is desired, although those with strong potential in these areas will be considered.
