Tenure Track, Assistant Professor of Accounting

The George L. Argyros School of Business and Economics at Chapman University invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Accounting effective Fall 2013. This position offers a competitive salary and a summer research stipend as well as a discretionary research budget. The teaching load is one course per semester during the first year and three semester courses per year through the tenure decision. Applicants must have a doctoral degree or be near completion and demonstrate the potential for publishing high-quality academic research and excellent teaching.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The successful candidate will also be appointed to Chapman University's Economic Science Institute as a Research Associate. Led by Nobel Laureate Vernon Smith, the Economic Science Institute houses nationally recognized scholars providing collaborative opportunities in experimental and empirical research applied to a wide variety of issues in accounting and economics and is part of the Argyros School of Business and Economics.

ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY: Chapman University, located in the heart of Orange County, California, offers traditional undergraduate programs in the arts and sciences and select pre-professional and graduate programs. The Argyros School is fully accredited by AACSB and offers bachelor's degrees in business administration, economics, and accounting as well as the MBA.
