Faculty Positions in Accounting
The Accounting Program at the Mason School of Business, The College of William and Mary, is seeking to fill three faculty positions in the accounting area.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The Associate or Full Professor position includes designation as the Accounting Program Head of the separately AACSB accredited accounting program. This individual will report to the Dean. Candidates should have an academic record consistent with appointment as a tenured associate or full professor. Candidates at the senior level must have a doctoral degree and a demonstrated ability to publish high quality research. Commitment to excellence in both teaching and research is essential. Prior administrative experience is preferred. Applicants able to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels with an interest in financial accounting, managerial accounting, auditing, and/or information systems will be considered.
The Assistant Professor position is a tenure-track position in accounting at the assistant level. Candidates must have a doctoral degree by the time of appointment and a demonstrated ability to publish high quality research. Commitment to excellence in both teaching and research is essential. Applicants able to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels with an interest in financial accounting, managerial accounting, auditing, and/or information systems will be considered.
The Clinical position is a non-tenured, fixed term, renewable contract position. Candidates should have an accounting degree at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, proven teaching skills, and some professional experience. A current professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA) is preferred. Applicants with an interest in financial accounting, managerial accounting, auditing, and/or information systems will be considered. The successful candidate will be asked to help develop and implement both undergraduate and graduate accounting courses.
All positions begin in fall, 2012.
