Tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting

The Department of Accounting invites applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting to begin August, 2012.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must possess a doctorate (or expect to complete such degree before the start date). Candidates must have a commitment to excellence in research and teaching. We welcome candidates with academic research interests in all areas and a teaching interest in the cost/managerial accounting area. Research requirements are realistic. The teaching load is moderate. Salary and benefits are competitive.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION AND ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT: The AACSB-accredited College of Business Administration at the University of Missouri - St. Louis offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees in a wide variety of business disciplines. Within the College, the separately AACSB-accredited Accounting program offers a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Accounting. The Master of Accounting program has an outstanding career placement rate and is one of the top programs in the state of Missouri for graduates passing the CPA Exam. The Accounting Department is a truly collegial workplace comprised of eleven full-time faculty members with a variety of research and scholarship interests.

FURTHER INFORMATION: The cost of living in St. Louis is quite affordable. The campus is conveniently located on the Metrolink (light rail) line, only a couple of stops from the St. Louis airport. The commute to campus for most accounting faculty is 20 minutes or less-even during rush hour. Also, the campus is not far from St. Louis' top cultural and entertainment attractions.
