Assistant or Associate Professor

The Department of Accounting invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to begin fall semester 2012.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsibilities for this position include teaching accounting at the undergraduate, masters or PhD levels, including mentoring of PhD students. The selected applicant will be expected to conduct high quality research published in leading journals, participate in prominent national and international academic conferences, and contribute to the department's outreach activities and programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified applicants should have an earned doctorate in accounting by August 23, 2012; have excellent research skills; and a strong commitment to teaching and research.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to applicants with a research interest in empirical financial accounting.

The selected applicant will work at the University of Connecticut's main campus located in Storrs, and may have the opportunity to teach online. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
