Chair of Financial Accounting
WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management, located in
Vallendar near Koblenz, is a university-level private
business school offering Bachelor of Science, Master of
Science, full-time MBA, part-time EMBA (in cooperation with
Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management),
Master of Law and Business (in cooperation with Bucerius
Law School), and executive education programs.
WHU's "Accounting and Control" Group is seeking
applications for the newly created position of Chair of
Financial Accounting starting on January 1st, 2010 (or
later).
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
The position is initially limited to a five-year period
if it represents a candidate's first appointment to a full
professorship. The nature of the position implies that
applicants should hold a post-doctoral degree or be able
to demonstrate equivalent qualifications. Applicants
should have a proven track record of publishing in
international peer-reviewed academic research journals.
An empirical research orientation would be welcome. WHU
values research and provides various opportunities for
both national and international cooperation.
Applicants should be prepared to teach in the various
programs at WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management.
Courses are taught mainly in English. International
teaching experience in English-language academic programs
is therefore helpful. Applications from outside of Germany
are welcome. The conditions of appointment are equivalent
to those at public universities. The remuneration is based
on that of tenured full professors.
