Assistant/Associate/Full Professor
of Accounting
Montana State University-Bozeman College of Business is
accepting applications for a tenure-track position in
Accounting, starting Fall 2010. Applicants should primarily
teach in one of the following areas: Tax, accounting
information systems, cost or financial accounting, and have
the ability to teach in a secondary area (including audit
or governmental).
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must have or anticipate receiving a PhD/DBA with
an emphasis in Accounting from an AACSB-accredited
university, and must exhibit the potential for teaching
excellence, a capacity to produce quality research, and a
commitment to involvement in service to the university and
the profession.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL:
Montana State University Bozeman, a land grant institution
with an enrollment of approximately 12,000 students, is the
main campus of Montana State University. Bozeman is an
attractive small city of about 35,000 residents, located in
the Rocky Mountains 90 miles north of Yellowstone National
Park. Bozeman and the surrounding Gallatin Valley enjoy
excellent schools, a vibrant cultural and arts scene, a
very low crime rate, and one of the most outstanding scenic
and outdoor recreation areas in the nation. Skiing magazine
recently selected Bozeman as the fourth-best ski town in
the United States.
ABOUT THE COLLEGE OF BUSINESS:
AACSB accredited, the College of Business offers a B.S. in
Business with options in Accounting, Finance, Management,
and Marketing, and minors in Accounting, Entrepreneurship,
Management of Information Technology, International
Business, and Business Management. The College also offers
a Master of Professional Accountancy degree. Accounting
students are actively recruited in the national market and
CPA pass rates consistently place MSU Bozeman in the top of
institutions nationally. The College, with about 25
tenure-track faculty, augmented by an experienced group of
professionally-qualified faculty, is committed to
excellence in business education. Faculty members engage
in scholarly research programs that contribute to the
College's mission as well as professional and academic
outreach activities that provide assistance to the business
community.
