     The University of Alabama, Culverhouse School of
     Accountancy, invites applications for a tenure-track
     appointment at the assistant professor level beginning
     August 2010.



     JOB DESCRIPTION/QUALIFICATIONS:


     We offer a competitive compensation package. Candidates
     should have an earned doctorate (or expect to complete
     their doctorate by August 2010) and exhibit the capacity
     for research publishable in top-tier accounting journals
     and excellence in teaching. The faculty member will teach
     undergraduate and graduate level accounting courses. The
     faculty member will have the ability to work with doctoral
     students and engage in University, College and Departmental
     service activities.



     APPLICATION PROCEDURE:


     While applications in all areas are welcome, preference
     will be given to those with an interest in teaching
     Financial Accounting. Research interests may be in any
     significant area of accounting. Screening of candidates
     will begin October 1, 2009 and will continue until the
     position is filled. Candidates selected for interview will
     be required to submit a disclosure and consent form
     authorizing a background investigation.
