Faculty Positions
NON-TENURE TRACK POSITIONS:
Georgia State University invites applications for multiple
non-tenure track positions effective fall 2010. Areas of
need include financial, managerial, auditing, tax, and
accounting information systems. Rank is open but we expect
to hire at the level of Clinical Assistant Professor
(preferred) or Lecturer.
Candidates for Clinical Assistant Professor must have a
doctorate in Accounting (or related field) from an AACSB-
accredited (or similarly accredited international)
university or JD and graduate degree in tax/accounting (for
teaching tax), demonstrated high-level classroom
performance, significant professional experience, and the
capability for publishing research in refereed journals.
Expectations for Lecturer to teach tax are similar except
highest degree may be a graduate degree in taxation from an
AACSB-accredited university or JD with significant emphasis
on taxation. Salaries are competitive. Positions are
contingent on budget approval.

ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY, COLLEGE AND SCHOOL:
Georgia State University, in downtown Atlanta, serves
approximately 30,000 students. The J. Mack Robinson College
of Business, one of the largest AACSB accredited business
schools in the U.S., offers undergraduate degree programs,
graduate programs (MBA, specialized masters, and doctoral
programs) and a spectrum of executive education including

oriented cities in the country, the School of Accountancy
takes full advantage of its location. It is in the midst of
offices of the top accounting and consulting firms and many
of the top companies in the world including UPS, Scientific
Atlanta, The Coca Cola Company and Home Depot. Executives
from the leading Atlanta firms serve on the School and
College Advisory Boards and play an active role in shaping
the curriculum and provide resources to support our
research.
