The University of Auckland Business School invites
applications for tenure track faculty appointments at the
Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer, and Lecturer levels
in the Department of Accounting and Finance.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
The primary teaching and research areas are Financial
Accounting, Management Accounting, and Finance. You should
have completed or be close to completing a PhD, and have a
proven track record of effective teaching and research. For
appointment at the Associate Professor level, a
distinguished record of publications and a well developed
programme of research would be expected.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:
The Department has a strong research orientation, with
faculty publishing in highly rated international journals.
Some are on the editorial boards of international journals.
The Department has a strong commitment to diversity and
internationalisation, which is reflected in its faculty and
student profiles, and a vibrant programme for visitors,
including many well recognised international academics.
Faculty members are involved in joint research projects
with other School faculty and with faculty at other
universities.
The Department of Accounting and Finance is one of the
largest in the university, with more than 1,500 equivalent
full-time students. The Department is divided into three
areas of Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, and
Finance. It has about 40 full-time faculty comprising six
full professors, four associate professors, and a number
of senior lecturers, lecturers, and tutors.
