                      Department Head Position


     Utah State University invites applications for the Head of
     the School of Accountancy in the Jon M. Huntsman School of
     Business beginning July 1, 2008. The position is a full-
     time fiscal year appointment.


     JOB DESCRIPTION/QUALIFICATIONS:

     The department head is responsible for providing academic,
     administrative, and professional leadership for the
     department, and to aggressively foster the reputation and
     image of the School. Candidates should have demonstrated
     leadership in the academic discipline and/or practice of
     professional accountancy and demonstrate evidence of
     teaching excellence. Excellent communication and
     interpersonal skills, an established record of research/
     scholarship and service commensurate with the rank of full-
     professor are also required. Maintenance of AACSB
     accreditation and related activities as well as commitment
     to students and continuous programs improvement are
     essential. Professional accounting experience and
     professional certification is strongly preferred.
