                 Culverhouse School of Accountancy

                  Faculty Position in Accounting


     The University of Alabama, Culverhouse School of
     Accountancy, invites applicants for a tenure-track
     appointment beginning August 16, 2008. Applications will
     be accepted for Assistant Professor and Associate
     Professor. Salary will be competitive.


     JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

     Applicants must have an earned doctorate, or completed a
     doctorate by the appointment date, in Accountancy or a
     related field from an accredited AACSB or equivalent
     accredited institution, and a demonstrated record of
     teaching excellence. The candidate should have a strong
     commitment to publishing quality research in top-tier
     academic journals, the ability to work with doctoral
     students, and will teach at both the undergraduate and
     graduate levels. Professional experience/certification
     is desirable. While applications in all areas will be
     welcome, preference will be given to those with experience
     teaching Tax Accounting, Financial Accounting, or both.
     Research interests may be in any significant area in
     accounting.

     will continue until the position is filled. Interviews are
     contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background
     investigation. Candidates selected for interview will be
     required to submit a disclosure and consent form
