Assistant/Associate Professor
of Financial Accounting
The HEC School of Management, Paris (Accounting and
Management Control Department), invites applications for
one faculty position in Financial Accounting at the
Assistant or preferably Associate Professor level,
beginning Fall 2008.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The applicants will be required to (a) teach in English or
in French and supervise students' research, (b) engage in
research activities leading to publications in first-rate
academic journals and (c) assist in administrative duties.
During their first three years at HEC, assistant professors
benefit from a reduced number of teaching hours, simplified
access to research funds and an exemption of administrative
duties.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants are expected to hold or be near completion of
their doctoral degree (Ph.D) and demonstrate an excellent
teaching ability. Some knowledge of the French language and
culture is a plus but not required.

The Accounting and Management Control Department comprises
17 faculty members and several adjunct faculty members.
Each year, the Department welcomes several visiting
professors. Recent visitors came from Austria, Belgium,
Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Netherlands,
Norway, Portugal, Spain, the U.K. and the U.S.

SALARY:
