Junior Professorship (W1) in Business Administration
and Managerial Accounting
The School of Economics and Business Administration at the
Friedrich Schiller University Jena offers the following
position to be filled as of the summer semester 2008:
Junior Professorship (W1) in Business Administration and
Managerial Accounting.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The successful candidate is expected to represent the field
of Managerial Accounting (Controlling) in coordination with
the Chair of Business Administration/Financial and
Managerial Accounting both in research and teaching. The
teaching load includes courses for students taking Business
Administration as a subsidiary subject.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
An outstanding doctoral degree and further scientific
achievements in Managerial Accounting (Controlling) as well
as pedagogical skills are prerequisites for this position.
Applicants should demonstrate the ability to raise research
funding and are expected to collaborate in existing and
projected graduate/doctoral programs both of the School
and the University. To advance the internationalization of
the School's research and teaching profile, English is
envisaged as the main language of instruction, though
English-speaking applicants should have a fair
understanding of German.

As the School of Economics and Business Administration

An appointment as junior professor is time-limited to four
years. Appropriate performance in research and in teaching
allows for a prolongation up to six years.
