                Goizueta Chair in Financial Reporting


     Goizueta Business School of Emory University is accepting
     applications and nominations for the endowed Goizueta Chair
     in Financial Reporting.


     ABOUT THE BUSINESS SCHOOL:

     Established in 1919, Goizueta Business School is recognized
     as one of the top rated business schools in the United
     States. The School has a distinguished faculty of 84
     members and a committed professional, technology, and
     support staff. Scholarship and teaching are closely tied
     with considerable emphasis being placed on increasing the
     scholarly output of the faculty. Through its curriculum,
     Goizueta Business School has also taken an innovative
     approach to endowing students with capabilities to take on
     leadership roles in the business world.

     Approximately 560 undergraduate and 840 graduate students
     are enrolled in BBA, MBA, and PhD programs as well as the
     joint master's degree programs offered with a number of the
     University's eight other schools and colleges. The School
     also offers a portfolio of custom-designed executive
     development courses for major international corporations.


     JOB DESCRIPTION:

     The roles an endowed Chair holder in financial reporting
     would be expected to play and the terms of the faculty
     appointment are as follows:

     - to achieve distinction as a scholar based on the pursuit
       of a rigorous and innovative program of research and
       publication;
     - to play an active role in the scholarly agenda within the
       Accounting Area and the School;
     - to represent the Accounting Area and the School to the
       outside world through active participation in relevant
       academic and professional forums, the media, and the
       editorial review process of leading Accounting journals;
     - to mentor doctoral students and junior faculty;
     - to make service contributions to the School and
       University;
     - to evidence intellectual curiosity and openness to
       multiple methodologies and ideas;
     - to enhance the Accounting Area's reputation in financial
       reporting; and
     - to contribute to the School's educational process as a
       designer and implementer of innovative academic programs
       and course modules.


     JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

     The successful applicant is a key leader in the field of
     financial reporting and has a record of scholarship that is
     widely and internationally recognized as clearly
     distinguished. A proven commitment to excellent teaching
     and a record of professional achievements are expected.
