ABOUT THE CONFERENCE: The Haskell & White Corporate Reporting & Governance conference is intended to provide opportunities to academics for engaging with experienced researchers and networking with the practice community. We especially encourage current and recently graduated PhDs to submit papers.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES & NOTICE OF DECISIONS: The Center for Corporate Reporting & Governance (CCRG) is seeking academic papers for the upcoming conference.
Papers are invited in the areas of accounting, finance, and economics (including, but not limited to, the topics of Auditing, Financial Accounting & Reporting, International Accounting, Corporate Governance, and Ethics). Submissions should be received by Monday, July 11, 2016. All manuscripts are subject to a blind review process. Email notification of the outcome of each submission will be sent to the corresponding author or authors in early August.
Each paper submission should include a title page listing the corresponding author's name and email address. All papers must be in Word or PDF format and emailed to: firstname.lastname@example.org
CONFERENCE ARRANGEMENT: Following the academic conference, the center will be hosting its 15th Annual SEC Financial Reporting Conference on September 16, 2016. This event is attended by over 500 professionals from the area. Academics are invited to both events at the Irvine Marriott in Irvine, California.
The conference registration fees are $ 225 for academics and $ 400 for professionals. The fee covers reception on Thursday, September 15, as well as continental breakfast and lunch on Friday, September 16. Fees are waived for doctoral students.
ABOUT THE CENTER FOR CORPORATE REPORTING & GOVERNANCE: The Center for Corporate Reporting & Governance (CCRG) at the Steven G. Mihaylo College of Business & Economics at California State University, Fullerton was created in the wake of Enron and other high profile corporate scandals and the subsequent passage of the landmark Sarbanes-Oxley Act to address the issues facing businesses and auditors in today's changing financial environment. The CCRG's SEC conferences feature a wide variety of speakers, including SEC, FASB, and PCAOB officials, corporate executives, board and audit committee members, and other financial accounting experts.
