2013 India Accounting & Finance (IAF) Conference

Organized by Indian Institute of Management Lucknow, U.P., India

Indian Institute of Management Lucknow invites paper submissions for the 2013 India Accounting & Finance (IAF) Conference, to be held at Indian Institute of Management Lucknow from September 9th to 11th 2013.

Conference Theme: The theme for the 2013 IAF conference is as follows.

Emerging Financial Markets Landscape: The journey until now and road ahead

Reflections on National Accounting Standards, Corporate Governance Practices, Market Integration, and Risk Management Avenues

OVERVIEW: Subsequent to 2008-2009 financial crisis that enveloped many developed economies, the interest on Emerging Markets and their expected growth trajectory has increased manifold. So, much so, that developed economies and global regulatory bodies have started to explicitly acknowledge emerging markets' expected growth trajectories and the consequent impact that such growth trajectories would have on alleviating the global economic slowdown, which continues to persist since the 2008-2009 financial crisis. With emerging markets being looked upon as the savior of the world, when it comes to alleviating global economic hardships, the 2013 IAF conference would serve as an ideal platform to share ideas and research on different aspects of the emerging markets landscape, such as National Accounting Standards, Prevalent Corporate Governance Practices, Risk Management Avenues and Evolving integration of such emerging financial markets with the developed equity markets.

SUBMISSION AND SELECTION PROCEDURE: Papers in all areas of Accounting and Finance are welcome. The following guidelines should be followed at the time of paper submission:
1. All papers should be submitted as a word document.
2. The first page of the submitted paper shall contain the article title, followed by authors' name, affiliation, communication address, email, and phone details.
3. The body of the paper should not contain authors' identification at any point, and should commence with article title, followed by a) an abstract of not more than 400 words, b) a maximum of five relevant keywords, and c) relevant JEL classification codes.
4. Papers should be emailed to the 2013 IAF Conference Secretariat. Email address is iaf2013@iiml.ac.in

All papers will undergo blind review process under the supervision of Program Committee.

DEADLINE: The submission deadline is July 10th 2013, 5 PM. A decision will be made known to authors of all papers beginning from August 2013 onwards. It may be noted that review process and subsequent decision would be based on full paper (not just the preliminary abstract).

In addition to research presentations made by selected participants, the conference would also include preconference tutorials on September 9th, keynote addresses by eminent scholars on emerging markets landscape, plenary sessions by invited speakers from India and abroad, and a conference roundtable.
