16th Annual Australian Summer Accounting Conference - Accounting Discipline Group Announcement

Thursday 7th and Friday 8th February 2013

Registrations are now open to attend the 16th annual Australian Summer Accounting Conference. The 2013 Conference will comprise a key-note address by Professor Stephen Penman, Columbia University and 11 paper presentations, each of which will be followed by an invited discussant. A full list of paper presentations is attached below, and discussants will be announced shortly. The conference regularly attracts leading accounting researchers and presenters from around the world. The Accounting Discipline Group at UTS is committed to ensuring that the Australian Summer Accounting Conference continues as the premier event of its type in the Australasian region. The UTS Business School is located at the southern fringe of Sydney's central business district, which is adjacent to the Darling Harbour tourist precinct. It is close to a wide variety of accommodation from hotels to apartments. The area has excellent public transportation to beaches and other Sydney tourist attractions.

REGISTRATION/FURTHER INFORMATION: There is no charge for attending the conference; however attendees are responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs. Morning/afternoon tea and lunch will be provided on each of the two days. A conference dinner will be held on the evening of Thursday, February 7. All attendees are also invited to this dinner; however please confirm your attendance by emailing Katt.Robertson@uts.edu.au. The conference will conclude at 4pm on Friday, February 8 with drinks. The conference will be held at the UTS Business School, Quay Street, Block B, Haymarket.
