The Chinese Accounting Professors' Association of North America (CAPANA) invites both members and non-members to submit papers to its sixth Annual Research Conference. The conference will be held in Hong Kong, on July 7-9, 2013. The conference is sponsored by the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Hong Kong. Papers in all areas of accounting using all available methodologies are welcome. The objective of the conference is to bring together accounting scholars from around the world to discuss a small number of high quality research papers.
CONFERENCE DETAILS: There will be approximately 8 papers to be selected for presentation at the conference. Papers should be well developed, but at a stage where they can still benefit from participants' discussion. The format of the presentation is similar to a regular workshop except that there will be a discussant for each paper.
The working language of the conference is English. Only papers written in English will be considered. While both China-related and non-China-related papers are encouraged, one slot will be reserved for China study to promote research in this area.
Papers by current CAPANA officers will not be considered. No single person should submit more than one paper.
Selection of papers will be made through a review process. Acceptance decisions are expected to be announced in late March, 2013.
There will be a best paper award of $500 voted by conference participants towards the end of presentations.
