The Japanese Accounting Review, Launched In 2011

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new academic accounting journal, The Japanese Accounting Review (TJAR), which focuses on Japanese accounting practice and thought, and their interdependence with other national and international accounting systems. The Review welcomes interesting work from all areas of accounting using relevant methods (including analytical, empirical, experimental, and field study methods). While the special focus is on issues relevant to the Asia-Pacific region, the Review intends to target innovative research and ideas from ALL PARTS OF THE WORLD.

- Financial Accounting and Reporting
- Taxation
- Auditing
- Management Accounting
- International Accounting
- Accounting History
- Accounting Education

SPECIAL SESSION ON IFRS: One of the Review's key features is to provide a special session on IFRS. We always welcome papers on all aspects of IFRS issue.

PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: Papers will be considered on the understanding that they are original, unpublished, and not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. Papers that address issues in line with the aims and scope of the Review will be subject to anonymous peer review. Hard copy submissions will NOT be accepted. AUTHOR BENEFITS: The benefits of submission to and publication in The Japanese Accounting Review are stated as follows:

- No submission fee is required. You will be offered a quick and constructive peer-review process at no charge.
- Accepted papers will be posted on our website as soon as they are ready, before the printed version is made available.
- Printed versions of the Review will be distributed to major university libraries around the world at least once a year.
