Performance Scorecard Conference at Temple University

May 22-24, 2012, Philadelphia, PA

The Performance Scorecard conference aims to bring together accounting and management scholars interested in performance management and evaluation to discuss a small number of innovative and thought provoking research papers. The conference will take place on May 22-24, 2012, at the Fox School of Business of Temple University in Philadelphia. Leading researchers and business executives in the field of performance management will be featured as keynote speakers in plenary talks and panel discussions. The conference is hosted by the Merves Center for Accounting and Information Technology and the Accounting Department at the Fox School of Business and supported by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), U.K. and the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), U.S.A.

OVERVIEW: The goal of the conference is to explore state-of-the-art industry practices in performance scorecard and strategy implementation, and to showcase important cutting-edge research by innovative scholars in accounting and management. The first day of the conference will focus on issues of relevance to practice and teaching, and will feature presentations by leading experts from industry and academia on recent innovations in performance scorecard methodology. This will include the Balanced Scorecard and other performance management systems, as well as the design of systems for strategy implementation and performance evaluation. The next two days of the conference will focus on new research findings in the area. They will feature invited presentations by several prominent scholars, including Rajiv Banker, Raffi Indjejikian, Christopher Ittner and Ranjani Krishnan, and selected papers responding to this call for papers.

PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: The deadline for submissions is March 1, 2012. Research papers on related themes, teaching innovations and proposals for panel discussions are welcome. Papers and proposals should be submitted via email to: dbyzalov@temple.edu
