          TENTH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ACCOUNTING
                          AND BUSINESS 2008
      
                        Niagara University's
     Center for International Accounting Education and Research
                                and
           East China University of Science and Technology
     
                           June 6-8, 2008
     
     
     Submissions are invited for full papers, or abstracts of 
     papers, on all aspects of accounting and business for 
     presentation at the Conference. Papers in any area of 
     international accounting and business are welcome. 
     
     
     TOPICS:
     
     Following are some sample research topics: Ethical issues 
     in accounting globalization, Corporate governance post-SOX, 
     Management and behavioral issues, Auditing research -
     Post-Sarbanes Oxley, New accounting regulations: Fair-value 
     based accounting reporting, Earnings quality, earnings 
     management and voluntary disclosures, International 
     accounting: harmonization and globalization, Internal 
     controls and Issues in international accounting standards.
     
     The deadline for the submission of the abstracts is 
     February 1, 2008.
     
     
     PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE:
     
     Abstracts (about 300 words) should be presented on a single 
     page letter page, typed, single spaced, 12 points, headed 
     by title, author(s), affiliation(s), and the postal and 
     email address for correspondence. The papers should be 
     written in English or Chinese. The standard editing 
     template is available for download. 
     
     Abstracts or full papers should be submitted electronically

     Please, clearly indicate who the lead author is and who the 
     corresponding author (if different) is. 
     
     
     ACCEPTANCE:
     
     Decisions regarding paper acceptance will be based on the 
     recommendations of a blind review process. Authors will be 
     notified of a provisional acceptance by February 15th, 
     2008. Authors of accepted papers are expected to provide 
     the full document in Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat format
     files to:

     Final notification will be provided within two weeks. The 
     accepted abstracts will be published in the Conference 
     Program, and the full article will be published in the 
     conference proceedings (CD-ROM), if and only if at least 
     one of the authors registers for the conference by May 20, 
     2008.
