                CURRENT TOPICS IN ACCOUNTING RESEARCH

     The Editors of the Review of Accounting Studies are pleased
     to announce a conference on "Current Topics in Accounting
     Research" to be held at the Fuqua School of Business, Duke
     University, in Durham, N.C., October 3 - 4, 2008. Papers
     accepted for the conference are also considered for
     publication in RAST.


     TOPICS:

     Papers addressing any topic that is of current interest in
     accounting research and using analytical, empirical-
     archival, empirical-experimental, or survey and field-based
     methods will be considered.

     The deadline for conference submissions is May 1, 2008. All
     papers submitted, including those not accepted for the
     conference, will be reviewed for possible publication in
     RAST. Authors will be informed of editorial decisions for
     the conference by August 31, 2008. The conference will
     cover travel costs and provide lodging and meals for one
     presenter for each accepted paper. A cash prize of $5,000
     will be awarded for the best paper based on a vote by all
     conference participants.
