CALL FOR PAPERS
21ST AUSTRALASIAN FINANCE & BANKING CONFERENCE 2008
Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney
16th, 17th & 18th December 2008
The School of Banking & Finance in conjunction with the
Australian School of Business at the University of New
South Wales, Sydney, would like to invite all academics &
practitioners to participate in the 21st Australasian
Finance & Banking Conference.
SPECIAL ISSUES OF:
THE JOURNAL OF BANKING AND FINANCE
On "Globalization, Financial Markets Integration and
Financial Services" will include selected papers
presented at the 21st AFBC. Authors who are pre-selected
will be notified of the appropriate procedure for
inclusion. And
THE JOURNAL OF FINANCIAL STABILITY
on "Markets and Institutions: Global Perspectives"
will include selected papers presented at the 21st AFBC.
Authors who are pre-selected will be notified of the
appropriate procedure for inclusion.
PRIZES:
Authors who wish to be considered for prizes must specify
so when initially making their submission in accordance
with instructions on the conference website.
BARCLAY'S GLOBAL INVESTORS AUSTRALIA RESEARCH AWARD:
AUD$10,000 will be awarded to the best paper presented on
Capital Markets/Funds Management/Mutual Funds.
SIRCA RESEARCH PRIZE:
AUD$2,500 for the best paper which has used SIRCA Data
(this includes ASX, SFE, Reuters, Morningstar and Aspect
Financial data). Note: Use of SIRCA data must be
acknowledged in the paper.
AUSTRALIAN SECURITIES EXCHANGE PRIZE:
AUD$1,000 will be awarded to the best paper presented on
derivatives/quantitative finance.
DEADLINES:
The deadline for submitting papers and consideration for
the special issues of the Journals and prizes is Monday
25th August 2008. Contributors must follow the submission
procedure outlined on the conference website:
