JOB DESCRIPTION/QUALIFICATIONS: The University of St. Gallen and its School of Management are seeking candidates for a chaired professorship in the field of Strategic Management. We are looking for an individual, who has demonstrated thought leadership in the research debates about strategic management. This may include research such as corporate strategy and growth research, strategy as practice, strategy process research, business models, strategy execution, innovation, capability dynamics and management cognitions. It may further include topics such as competitive dynamics, mergers and acquisitions, corporate parenting and global strategies.

This professorship includes an outstanding international research profile, in combination with demonstrated leadership of academic units. This involves teaching strategic management courses at the Bachelor, Master or PhD levels. Responsibilities include also tutoring of post docs and PhD students, a willingness and ability to engage with the business community in projects and executive teaching as well as participation in the co-management of a research institute.
