Chair in Public International Law

The European University Institute is looking for candidates with a distinguished record of scholarly publications and experience in postgraduate teaching and doctoral supervision, to fill Chair(s) in Public International Law.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The Law Department calls for applications for one or up to two Chairs in International Law. Expertise is sought in general public international law, and particularly in regional and global systems of human rights for one Chair. An interest in legal theory and its application to international law would be an advantage. Candidates are expected to supervise PhD theses across a broad spectrum of topics in the field.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The contracts are for five years, renewable for a further three years. The Institute is an equal opportunity employer, and takes into account the importance of balance in gender, geographical and minority representation.
