Assistant or Associate Professor Position in Finance

The University of Georgia's Terry College of Business is seeking to fill one or more full-time tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant and/or Associate level. Position(s) will begin fall 2018, with an anticipated starting date of August 1, 2018. Salary is competitive and dependent upon qualifications. The position(s) are contingent upon funding. We will be interviewing at the AFA meetings.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: All candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in finance or a related discipline. Candidates must have a demonstrated interest and ability in pursuing research and have evidence of capable teaching in the field of finance. A successful candidate must be able to teach in at least two of the following levels: undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D. Assistant Professor candidates should have a PhD in finance or related discipline at the time of appointment and show promise for research publishable in top-tier and other high-quality research journals and for excellence in teaching. Associate Professor candidates must have a Ph.D. in finance, a record of excellence in teaching, and an established record of publications, consistent with rank, in top-tier and other high quality research journals. Also, candidates who have held tenure previously at an academic institution and who have a demonstrably national reputation will be eligible for tenure on appointment, pending approval of the University Administration.
