Faculty Position in Finance

The Martin Tuchman School of Management at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) invites applications for a tenured/tenure-track faculty position in finance beginning in the 2018-2019 Academic Year. All professorship ranks will be considered commensurate with qualifications and accomplishments of the applicant.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have earned their Ph.D. in finance or closely associated academic area, as well as have a strong interest in financial technology, quantitative finance, and/or machine learning and artificial intelligence in financial markets and risk management. Successful candidates must demonstrate a record of scholarly accomplishment and a commitment to contributing original research into leading peer-reviewed publications. In addition, the applicant should be interested in teaching the full array of finance and related courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In particular, we are seeking candidates who will be able to contribute to the Business Data Science Ph.D. Program. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience. The individual must have completed the Ph.D. at time of appointment in September 2018.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL: The Martin Tuchman School of Management is accredited by the AACSB and offers an undergraduate program in business with concentrations in various business and management disciplines and a full range of graduate programs, including MS in Management, MBA, Executive MBA, and PhD in Business Data Science.

ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY: NJIT is a comprehensive public research university and the State of New Jersey's Science and Technology University located in Newark, New Jersey and in close proximity to New York City. Today NJIT has a research budget of over $140 million, enrolls about 11,500 students, and grants approximately 2,200 degrees annually from baccalaureate to Ph.D. Five of its colleges and schools hire full-time faculty and grant degrees: Ying Wu College of Computing, College of Science and Liberal Arts, Newark College of Engineering, School of Architecture and Design, and Martin Tuchman School of Management. The sixth college, the Albert Dorman Honors College, utilizes faculty from the degree granting schools and colleges to teach and mentor honors students, as well as participate in setting the direction for academic initiatives.
