Assistant Professor of Finance

Florida State University's College of Business seeks applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in Finance. Candidates with expertise in all areas of finance will be considered. The position is scheduled to start in Fall 2018.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates for this position must have earned or be near completion of a Ph.D. in Finance or Financial Economics. Degree must be conferred by August 7, 2018. Candidates should have a strong commitment to excellent teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels as well as a research agenda that targets top-tier journals.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Finance provides an active research environment including a SunTrust seminar series and a highly selective SunTrust Beach Conference. Faculty have access to summer research grants, graduate student research assistants, travel support and an excellent collection of databases, which include Compustat, CRSP, IBES, Boardex, ISS, Thomson Reuters Institutional Holdings, SDC and others. The department offers programs and courses at the undergraduate, Masters and Ph.D. levels. Masters programs consist of an MSF program and the full-time, part-time and online MBA programs.
