Assistant Professor of Finance

The Finance Division at Babson College is seeking applicants for one full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position starting the 2018/2019 academic year.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: We seek faculty who are committed to scholarly and teaching excellence, collaboration, diversity, and inclusiveness. Candidates must have completed (or will complete by September 1, 2018 at the latest) a doctorate or equivalent degree from a nationally or internationally recognized program in Finance or Economics. Evidence of strong previous teaching experience, and industry experience are desirable but not required. Qualified candidates should be community builders who will teach enthusiastically in Babson's integrated programs and who will engage in an active community of teachers, scholars, and learners. The candidate will be expected to be an active member of the finance division, College, and external academic finance community.

ABOUT THE FINANCE DIVISION: The finance faculty has 14 full-time members actively engaged in research and teaching, who maintain strong ties to both the academic and practitioner communities, especially in the downtown Boston financial district. The finance division is affiliated with The Stephen D. Cutler Center for Investments and Finance, which sponsors educational and thought leadership in finance and the regular Finance Division Research Seminar Series. The Center operates an investments lab and helps fund teaching and research resources, such as WRDS, TAQ, CRSP, Bloomberg, Factset, Eventus, Capital IQ, Rotman Interactive Trader, and Morningstar Direct.
