Associate or Full Professor in Finance and/or Economics

The Department of Economics, Finance and Legal Studies in the Culverhouse College of Commerce at The University of Alabama invites applications for an opening for an associate or full professor in finance and/or economics beginning August 16, 2017. Primary duties include teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, engaging in a research program that results in articles in outstanding scholarly publications, and performing service as assigned by the Department, College, and University.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  (1) A doctoral degree in finance, economics or a closely related field; (2) record of high quality research and in high-quality journals consistent with appointment at associate/full professor; (3) demonstrated high-quality teaching.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Applications from all areas of finance or economics are welcome; however, strong preference will be given to candidates with a record of high-quality research in behavioral finance and/or experimental economics, as well as those with a track record of externally-funded research.
