Clinical/Lecturer Position in Risk Management and Insurance

The Darla Moore School of Business seeks applicants for a non-tenure-track position to begin as early as January 2018 and as late as August of 2018. This is a non-tenure track position focused primarily on teaching, student engagement, and outreach to potential employers. Appointment will be at the rank of Lecturer, Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate, or Clinical Professor, depending on experience and education.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is required for a Clinical position. For the lecturer position, significant industry experience and a masters degree is required. Consideration will also be given to a Visiting Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. This position is designed to offer opportunities for long-term employment with the university, with renewable contracts and opportunities for promotion in accordance with established policies for non-tenure track faculty. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The primary responsibility of the position will be teaching insurance, risk management, or finance courses. Other responsibilities include industry outreach and mentoring students on academic and career related issues. Other possible responsibilities could include developing and supervising student consulting projects and/or conducting research. We will be available for possible interviews at the American Risk and Insurance Association meetings in Toronto during August. All faculty searches are subject to the availability of funding.
