Securities Markets: Trends, Risks and Policies
Call For Papers

March 2nd, 2018 - Milan

CONSOB, ESMA and Bocconi University, through its BAFFI - CAREFIN research center, are organizing a conference on securities markets aimed at attracting original and highly policy-relevant research, on the following issues:
1 - financial innovation and systemic risk in securities markets;
2 - market microstructure, post-trading and market efficiency;
3 - securities markets development, institutional investors and SMEs growth;
4 - corporate governance issues: board functioning, shareholders engagement and remuneration;
5 - financial services and investor protection.
Interested authors should submit their paper to the e-mail convegni@consob.it by October 31st, 2017. Papers submitted in a preliminary version may also be considered, provided that the aim of the research, the methodological approach and the main results are clearly outlined. Papers with European data and/or with relevant policy implications will be particularly appreciated.

Papers will be selected through a refereeing process managed by a scientific committee chaired by Massimo Guidolin (Bocconi University) and Luca Giordano (Consob), and composed by:

Authors will be notified of the outcome of the selection by December 10th, 2017. The final version of accepted papers must be received by January 10th, 2018. The conference will be held on the 2nd of March 2018 at Bocconi University in Milan. Reasonable travel and accommodation expenses (one author per paper) will be covered by the conference organizers. Submitting authors of accepted papers will receive detailed information together with the acceptance letter.

The final program will be published by the first week of February 2018 on CONSOB and Bocconi University web sites.
