Mid-Atlantic Research Conference in Finance Program (MARC)
Call For Papers

One Day Conference, March 23, 2018, Villanova, PA

This year marks the Thirteenth Annual Mid-Atlantic Research Conference in Finance (MARC). The Villanova School of Business invites finance researchers to submit their research for possible inclusion in this increasingly popular MARC event. We are looking to continue our tradition of sharing high quality research papers in all areas of finance through a 1-day, 1-track conference which will also include a distinguished keynote luncheon speaker.

OVERVIEW: This meeting's keynote speaker is Darrell Duffie and there will also be two distinguished speakers, Kent Daniel and Annette Poulsen. In previous conferences, we have benefited from presentations by keynote speakers such as Professors Viral Acharya, Franklin Allen, David Denis, Mark Flannery, Andrew Karolyi, "Pete" Kyle, Michael Lemmon, Robert Stambaugh, Phil Strahan, Rene Stulz, Anjan Thakor, and Ingrid Werner.

There will be several sessions during the day, with each session including 2-3 papers that are selected, after peer review, for inclusion in the conference. There will also be an Outstanding Paper Award. If accepted, authors will present their research at the conference which is scheduled for Friday, March 23, 2018. This is a selective and competitive process but we look for broad participation among the many excellent academic institutions in the Mid-Atlantic region and around the world. All topics in finance will be considered.

We encourage you to submit a paper as well as actively participate in this conference via serving as a presenter, session organizer, paper reviewer, session chairperson, and/or discussant.

PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: Electronic submissions, along with a $25 submission fee, should be uploaded via the following web link: http://www1.villanova.edu/villanova/business/newsevents/calendar/marc.html. You can also contact Professor Michael Pagano at: Michael.Pagano@villanova.edu if you have any questions about the submission process.

The deadline for submission is December 16, 2017. Authors will be notified on or before February 1, 2018, and authors of accepted papers will be expected to present their papers during the conference on March 23, 2018. If you have questions about the conference or need further information, please contact Mike Pagano at the above email address. You can also register for the MARC event at the above conference link after December 16, 2017.
