2017 Colorado Finance Summit
Call For Papers

13-16 December 2017, Vail, CO

Organized by the Finance Faculty of the University of Colorado's Leeds School of Business.

We are pleased to invite submissions from all areas of finance to be considered for presentation at the 2017 Colorado Finance Summit. We encourage both theoretical and empirical contributions. We favor early work that has not appeared at other conferences and we favor papers authored by juniors. The final program will consist of 8 to 10 papers, plus a session with presentations by current (2017-2018) job market candidates. At the end of the conference, we will present an award for best paper presentation by a job candidate, as well as an award for the best paper on the regular program.

The conference will be held at the Vail Marriott Mountain Resort, beginning with a reception on the evening of December 13th and ending after the morning session on December 16th. Invited attendees will have ample opportunity to explore Vail, and its outdoor opportunities.

We expect that the conference program will be exciting and innovative, and we anticipate a high level of interaction among the participants, both during and between sessions.

SUBMISSION, NOMINATION AND REGISTRATION DETAILS: The deadline for regular submissions is August 31st. The deadline for PhD nominations is October 15th. Regular submission authors of accepted papers will be notified by mid-October, PhD candidates in the first week of November.

REGULAR SUBMISSIONS: Submissions to the regular program should be sent to the conference email (winterfinance@colorado.edu). Each submission must be accompanied by a fee of $40 to be considered (http://colofinsummit2017.ezregister.com). Please include a reference number for your payment in the submission email.

JOB CANDIDATE NOMINATIONS: The job market session will be selected based on nominations of faculty.

NOMINATING FACULTY: To nominate a 2017-2018 job candidate, send us a message at winterfinance@colorado.edu with the following information:
- A recommendation letter for the job market candidate. If you have already drafted such a letter for the upcoming job market, it is sufficient to attach that letter.

- A pdf of the paper to be presented.

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION: In late October, we will contact invited participants with more detail on the program and how to register for the conference. PAPER AWARDS: The Burridge Center for Finance is sponsoring two best paper awards for papers presented at the conference: best regular program paper and best PhD program paper.
