The School of Accountancy invited applications for Professors/Associate Professors/Assistant Professors (Ref. 170002AD).

ABOUT THE BUSINESS SCHOOL: CUHK Business School is a leading business school and a pioneer in business education in Hong Kong. Established in Hong Kong in 1963, it is the first business school to offer BBA, MBA and Executive MBA programmes in the region.

The School has about 4,400 full-time and part-time students and has the largest business school alumni network in Hong Kong, with over 30,000 alumni worldwide. The Business School offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, as well as executive education. The Business School comprises two schools - Accountancy and Hotel & Tourism Management; and four departments - Finance, Decision Sciences & Managerial Economics, Management and Marketing.

The School of Accountancy is now inviting applications for the posts of Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor. The School has a stimulating intellectual environment with an outstanding research record, with more than 30 publications in the top-5 accounting or equivalent journals since 2012. As of now it is ranked 14th by 6-year citations according to BYU Rankings. Research support to faculty members is comparable to that of top U.S. schools (funding plus separate RA support). Many faculty members are also able to obtain large government research grants every year.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants for Assistant Professors should have a PhD degree (or with one close to completion) and strong commitment to scholarly research and teaching.

Appointments will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially commencing July 2018, which, subject to performance and mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation later.

Applicants for more senior posts should have a demonstrated track record and leadership in the profession. All areas including financial accounting, managerial accounting, auditing, taxation, and accounting information systems will be considered.
