Head of the Department

University of Wyoming, Department of Accounting and Finance seeks outstanding applicants for the leadership role of Head of the Department. The Department of Accounting and Finance offers both undergraduate and Masters degrees and has a long tradition of serving the accounting and finance professions as well as the academic community. The ideal candidate will have an earned doctorate in either accounting or finance, and an undergraduate degree and/or professional experience in the other field.

The future Head will be a person with the vision and ability to lead the Department in its efforts to build on its reputation as a leader in education, scholarship, and professional engagement. Candidates must have an earned doctorate in accounting, finance, or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution and demonstrated excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service at a level that qualifies for appointment at the rank of Full Professor. Particularly well-qualified candidates at the Associate Professor level will also be considered.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- An earned doctorate in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited institution and demonstrated excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service at the level that qualifies for appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.
- Demonstrated superb communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the professional community.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and sustaining a culture of inclusion, openness, and cooperation.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with U.S. financial markets in the accounting or finance fields.
- Professional certification as a CPA, CFA, CMA, CFP, etc.
- Experience in a leadership position that demonstrates problem solving, external relations, and evaluation skills.
