Faculty Positions in Accounting

The University of Amsterdam invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions in accounting. Successful candidates will work as Assistant Professor at the Accounting section of the Amsterdam Business School. Candidates with research and teaching interests in all areas of accounting (including accounting information systems, auditing, financial accounting, and management accounting) will be considered. The starting date will be September 1, 2018.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The position involves a six-year tenure-track. Upon meeting the tenure-track criteria, a permanent contract as Associate professor will be offered. Candidates should have a Ph.D., or expect to complete a Ph.D. in the near future, and should demonstrate potential for outstanding achievements in research and teaching.

All applicants are expected to teach in English. The teaching load is moderate. The compensation package is competitive relative to European salaries and includes several secondary benefits (such as a pension plan that is partially funded by the university). Favorable tax agreements apply to most non-Dutch applicants.

The Amsterdam Business School is part of the University's Faculty of Economics and Business and is located in the city center of Amsterdam.

The Accounting section of the Amsterdam Business School (http://www.abs.uva.nl/accounting) is involved in teaching in undergraduate and master level programs, as well as in executive education.
