Ernst & Young Professor of Accounting

The Culverhouse School of Accountancy in the Culverhouse College of Commerce at the University of Alabama is seeking candidates for a tenure-track Assistant / Associate Professor position holding the Ernst & Young Endowed Professorship of Accounting. Primary duties include teaching accounting at the graduate and undergraduate levels, engaging in a research program that results in articles in outstanding scholarly publications, working with doctoral students, and performing services as assigned and as appropriate for the level of appointment. The position will start August 16, 2018.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experienced candidates who have completed their Ph.D. with proven research and teaching excellence commensurate with appointment as either an assistant or associate professor and endowed professorship of accounting at a state flagship university.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: We are seeking candidates with a strong, established record of success publishing in top-tier journals and with a significant pipeline indicating continued success in the future. Candidates who have expertise in analytics and/or with a record of externally-funded research are strongly encouraged to apply. The search is open to all areas of research and teaching. Salary is competitive and commensurate with rank and experience.
