Assistant or Associate Professor

The School of Accounting and Computer Information Systems at The University of Tulsa is seeking an individual to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will currently hold the rank of assistant or associate professor of accounting. However, uniquely qualified candidates who have recently completed their doctorates in accounting will also be considered.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must possess an earned Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Accounting from an AACSB-accredited institution and evidence of an established productive research program in accounting. Candidates must demonstrate a record of excellence in teaching, including a track record of utilizing current learner-focused strategies, technological enhancements for the classroom, and mentoring students. Evidence of teaching effectiveness such as student evaluations and innovative pedagogical techniques is required for consideration. Experience in course development, curriculum design and assessment, and teaching in a graduate accounting program is desirable. Potential candidates must provide evidence of these activities. Candidates must also have a record of engagement with the professional accounting community and a strong interest in developing relationships with the professional accounting community.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Primary teaching responsibilities would be financial accounting at the undergraduate and graduate level. A secondary interest in another subject area of accounting would be advantageous.

Rank: Assistant Professor or Associate Professor
Starting Date: Fall 2018

SALARY: Salary is competitive, based upon qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include life, health, disability insurance, and retirement. The University of Tulsa also offers free tuition for faculty dependents.
