Call For Papers

The University of Texas, Austin and University of Waterloo

September 6 and 7, 2018, Austin, Texas

The University of Texas, Austin, and the University of Waterloo will be hosting their third joint symposium on research in taxation. Building on the success of the previous conferences, we look forward to providing a forum for stimulating discussion of emerging research topics. The symposium is hosted by the University of Texas at Austin and the Waterloo Centre for Taxation in a Global Economy. It will be held on Thursday and Friday, September 6 and 7, 2018, at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center of the University of Texas, in Austin, Texas.

TOPICS: We encourage researchers to submit papers in all area of research in taxation. However, on the margin, we will favor papers that have the potential either to open new research avenues to other scholars, or to affect tax policy directions, either within a specific country, or more broadly across countries.

We encourage conference submissions that use empirical archival, experimental, analytical, or other methods.

PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: By May 21, 2018, papers should be submitted in PDF format with a file name ideally as Author Names and Date; for example, KlassenMills2018May10. Please use the following drop box link: https://www.dropbox.com/request/YQYXGkxbBzrgmcNJiLgS

Conference invitations will be extended in June 2018, and will include travel funding for selected doctoral students if accompanied by their advisors.
